DEC Sales reached Tsh7.5 million (approx. $4,500) – 76 systems sold


RECENT PROJECTS ...

  • Solar powered emergency lighting for Murgwanza hospital, funded by Medical Missions Aid (MMA), Melbourne - COMPLETED.
  • Solar powered lighting for 30 schools (2 classrooms and up to 2 dormitories per school), funded by the Australian High Commission, Nairobi, Kenya - 27 COMPLETED, 3 TO GO.
  • Solar powered laptop, printer, internet, TV, DVD, and lighting for the Ngara Anglican Primary School (NAPS), funded by the school - COMPLETED.
  • Solar micro-enterprises to alleviate poverty ($25,000 loan from Kiva in 2012). For example, kits are being sold at 'bulk prices' to people in villages to start their own business (for charging mobile phones, hiring out or selling solar lights etc).
  • Solar lighting for rural dispenaries (anticipate funding from MMA in 2013).
